- Why can't you tell me what campsite we are camping on?
It takes a lot of effort to coordinate the needs of all groups camping at River View Campground each weekend. As groups increase and decrease in size, we need to be flexible and move groups around so everyone can fit in the space available and still be near each other. With that in mind, if you request to be in a certain area, we will do our best to keep you in your requested area, but we are not able to guarantee a specific campsite.
- Why do we only have 1 campsite for our large group?
Many of our campsites are designed for groups and are very large. We assign your group the amount of campsites you need for the number of people in your group.
- Why do you need a list of names of members of my group?
Having a list of group members helps us streamline the check-in process and get you down to your campsite quickly. Also in the event of an emergency, we need to be able to locate you.
- Why is payment due 1 month in advance?
River View Campground books up fast and is unable to accommodate every reservation request. We require payment in full 1 month prior to arrival to secure your reservation with River View. If your group were to cancel their reservation, this gives other customers an opportunity to join us for the weekend.
- Can I reserve a specific campsite?
You may request a specific campsite and we will do our best to accommodate you. However, specific campsites are not guaranteed.
- Can we move to a different campsite?
You may move to a different campsite only after checking with the front office to see if one is available. During the week and on slower weekends, this is usually not a problem.

- My neighbor is being noisy, what will you do about it?
We have security on busy weekends. We patrol our park constantly, however if there is an issue with your neighbor, please notify our security crew and we'll do our best to correct the situation.
- Why am I being charged a security deposit?
If you are being charged a security deposit for your campsite, it is due to past problems with your group due to disorderly conduct or not properly taking care of your campsite. If everything goes well on your next visit, and your campsite is left in the condition in which you found it, your deposit will be returned.
- Why can't I bring in my own firewood?
To help prevent the spread of infectious tree-diseases and the Emerald Ash Borer, we do not allow outside firewood to be brought into River View Campground. Firewood can be purchased at our main office and delivered right to your campsite.

- What should I bring when I renting a cabin?

- Why do I need to pay 30 days in advance to secure my reservation?
Requiring payment in full 30 days out to reserve camping space is the only reliable way we've been able to reduce last minute cancellations, and ensures that we are utilizing all available camping space.
- Do I need a reservation to go on a river trip?
Reservations are recommended on weekends and other busy days. Our equipment books up fast. However, on weekdays, reservations are not required, but they are recommended.
- Why can't you tell us what time our trip is before we arrive?
There is a lot of juggling of departure times and scheduling to make every Saturday go off smoothly. As groups change in size as we get closer to each weekend we need the flexibility to move groups around so we can fill our shuttle busses efficiently. We lock in our schedule a couple of days before each weekend. We make every attempt to schedule your group to leave at your desired time.
- What happens if we miss the bus?
If you miss your bus, you miss your trip. However if there is room on another bus we'll put you on it. Customers who are late are last in line to get on a shuttle.

- Why are your "Deluxe Tubes" no longer available?
The manufacturer stopped producing our old-style "Deluxe Tubes" several years ago. We stocked up on them and bought as many as we could at the time, but unfortunately, through wear and tear we've used them all up and no longer have enough to accomodate all our guests. We've developed a new comparable tube with great new features to replace the old style tubes.
- Can I rent an additional tube right before the bus leaves?
Yes, we've made some adjustments this season so renting additional equipment at the last minute is possible.
- Why do we need to be off of the river by 6pm?
The Rifle River becomes a designated fishing stream at 6pm and the rental traffic needs to be off the river so fisherman can have unobstructed access.
- Why can't I go tubing from Greenwood?
Greenwood would take over 10 hours in a tube and is too long of a tubing trip.
- Why can't I go on the long tube trip after 12:00pm?
Trips stop departing at noon, so tubes will return by the 6pm deadline.
